Chingiz Allazov and Tawanchai both closed the gap at the top of our ONE Power Rankings on Saturday.
Allazov successfully retained the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing world title with a unanimous decision win over Marat Grigorian.
After defeating Superbon to win the title back in January, ‘Chinga’ earned himself 18 power points. Although he dropped to fifth place, he closed the gap on the top four with another 4 points this weekend. Read how the ONE Power Rankings is scored here.
Another big move saw ONE Featherweight Muay Thai world champion, Tawanchai, jump to tied second — level on 24 points with Jonathan Haggerty in second.
After earning 16 power points first first round knockout of Jamal Yusupov in February, he accrued a further 8 points against Davit Kiria this weekend. He is next in action against Superbon in October. A win there would guarantee he takes pole position in the ONE Power Rankings if Superlek and Jonathan Haggerty do not compete.
This weeks results means there is only 4 points separating our top five. Superbon and Jackie Buntan follow them on 16 points a piece. The overall top 10 can be found below.
